THERAPY

One-to-one support

My expertise lies in understanding health behaviour and in managing the psychological and emotional aspects of health, illness, and lifestyle change. On this basis, I work with individuals to support them to make lifestyle changes to improve their physical health and wellbeing.

I work across a range of lifestyle areas including diet, physcial activity, sleep, stress management, smoking cessation, and alcohol reduction. However, I specialise in weight management, and in lifestyle change for fertility, pregnancy, and new motherhood. I also run a pregnancy health coaching business, Bloomwell Pregnancy, which you can learn more about here.

I am committed to providing clients with a safe, non-judgemental space where we can explore the issues they are struggling with and the barriers they face to making meaningful changes. The work I do is solution-focused, which involves identifying clear goals from the outset, action planning, and implementing effective strategies to achieve these goals. My approach is collaborative and integrative, drawing upon various evidence-based theraputic approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

Sessions typically last 50-minutes and cost £120. All sessions are delivered online.

Freelance writing

Written communication provides a valuable opportunity to indirectly support people to improve their mental and physical health. It is on this basis that I provide freelance writing services, focusing on topics relating to health and wellbeing, from a psychological and behavioural perspective.

My background in academic writing ensures a high level of detail and prescision in the work I produce, whilst my experience in editorial and blog writing allows me to craft compelling narratives that resonate with readers and generate engagement.

PROFESSIONAL CONTENT

Stage 2 supervision

I am a registered applied psychology practice supervisor (RAPPS) and provide supervision for trainees undertaking the British Psychological Society (BPS) independent Stage 2 Qualification in Health Psychology.

As part of the supervision that I provide, I offer the following support:

  • Interim email and telephone support
